Brief description

I was born in Medellín Colombia. Always in love with medicine and computers. I went to the medical school and had the opportunity of discovering Medical Informatics, since then it is a passion.

Right now I’m married, and enjoying my first daughter (Juanita) .

I’m a current PhD student at School of Health Information Sciences at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston . This is my second year working with Decision Making Support in the point of care. Particularly exploring guidelines encoding, delivery and usage. Projects related with Medal and Guideview.

Additionally I have a faculty appointment at the School of Medicine at Universidad de Antioquia Medellin - Colombia

My goal is to promote Health Informatics in Colombia, becoming an academic leader, providing solutions adapted to the country's reality.
